  • 1 cup Finely Chopped Regular Oreos About 9 chopped cookies.
For the Frosting
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Full-fat, brick-style.
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted Butter Softened.
  • 3 cups Powdered Sugar Consider adding an extra 1/4 cup for density.
  • 1 pinch Salt Balances sweetness.

Method
 

Cookie Preparation
  1. In a stand mixer, combine the cake mix, pudding mix, softened butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until thick dough forms.
  2. Gently fold in chopped Oreos until evenly distributed.
Chilling and Baking
  1. Scoop dough into 30-gram balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, 2 inches apart. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake cookies for 9-10 minutes until puffed and golden at edges. Cool on a wire rack.
Frosting and Assembly
  1. In a bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and a pinch of salt; mix until thick and creamy.
  2. Pipe frosting on one cooled cookie and top with another to form a whoopie pie.
Resting
