  • Frozen tater tots: 1 (32-ounce) bag
  • Dry ranch seasoning mix: 1 (1-ounce) packet
  • Shredded cheddar cheese: 2 cups
  • Bacon (cooked and crumbled): 1 pound
  • Sour cream: 1 cup
  • Chopped chives or green onions (optional): 2 tbsp

Instructions

 Prepare the Tater Tots:

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C).
  • Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden and crispy, following the package instructions.

2. Season the Tater Tots:

  • Transfer the baked tater tots to a large mixing bowl.
  • Sprinkle the dry ranch seasoning over the tots and gently toss to coat evenly.

3. Assemble the Casserole:

  • Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spread half the seasoned tater tots evenly.
  • Sprinkle half the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon over the tots.
  • Layer the remaining tater tots on top, followed by the rest of the cheese and bacon.
