  • 1 bag (8.5 ounces) Flaming Hot Cheetos, crushed (about 3 cups)
  • 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks, halved
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • Ranch or blue cheese dressing (for dipping)

Instructions

  • Crush the Cheetos:
    • Place the Hot Cheetos in a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs form. Transfer crumbs to a shallow bowl.
  • Set Up the Dredging Station:
    • Arrange three shallow bowls:
      • Bowl 1: Mix flour, salt, and garlic powder.
      • Bowl 2: Beat eggs until smooth.
      • Bowl 3: Add crushed Cheetos crumbs.
  • Coat the Mozzarella Sticks:
    • Roll each mozzarella stick in the flour mixture, then dip it in the beaten eggs.
    • Roll it in the Cheetos crumbs, pressing gently to coat.
    • Repeat the egg and crumb coating for a thicker crust.
  • Freeze:
    • Place the coated mozzarella sticks on parchment paper and freeze for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Set your air fryer to 390°F and let it preheat for 5 minutes.
  • Air Fry:
    • Lightly spray the mozzarella sticks with cooking spray.
    • Place them in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each stick.
    • Cook for 4-6 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  • Garnish and Serve:
    • Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
