Ingredients
  

  • 16 ounces dried rigatoni pasta
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 8 ounces heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded gruyere cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded extra sharp white cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Cook the Pasta
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  3. Add rigatoni and cook until al dente according to package instructions.
  4. Drain and set aside.
  5. Preheat the Oven
  6. Preheat your oven to 375°F (191°C).
  7. Grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  8. Prepare the Cheese Mixture
  9. In a large mixing bowl, combine dried basil, heavy cream, half of the gruyere, cheddar, and mozzarella cheeses.
  10. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix until evenly combined.
  11. Combine Pasta and Cheese Mixture
  12. Add the cooked pasta to the cheese mixture.
  13. Gently toss to coat all the pasta evenly.
  14. Assemble the Dish
  15. Pour the pasta mixture into the prepared casserole dish.
  16. Sprinkle the remaining cheese evenly over the top.
  17. Bake the Macaroni
  18. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and melted.
  19. For a golden crust, broil for an additional 5 minutes.

  21. Allow the dish to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
