Ingredients
  

  • 4 large croissants freshly baked or store-bought
  • 4 slices of ham high-quality deli ham
  • 4 slices of cheese Swiss, cheddar, or your favorite variety
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme optional
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat Oven: Set oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking.
  2. Slice Croissants: Cut each croissant in half lengthwise; toast lightly if desired.
  3. Spread Dijon Mustard: Apply a thin layer of mustard on the inside of each croissant half.
  4. Layer Ingredients: Place one slice of ham and one slice of cheese (or two for extra melty goodness) on the bottom half of each croissant.
  5. Assemble & Brush: Close the croissants and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush the tops with melted butter.
  6. Season (Optional): Sprinkle with dried thyme and garlic powder for added flavor.
  7. Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the croissants are golden and the cheese is melted.
  8. Serve & Enjoy: Let them cool slightly and enjoy with a fresh salad or warm soup.
