Step‑by‑Step Instructions
- Start by slicing the Italian sausage into even pieces, about half an inch thick.
- Mince 2-3 cloves of garlic finely.
- In a small bowl, whisk together ¼ cup of honey, 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of vinegar.
- In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil and salt generously; add your choice of short pasta. Cook according to package instructions (8-10 minutes).
- Drain the pasta and set it aside.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the sliced sausage in a single layer. Cook undisturbed for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown, then flip and brown the other side for another 4-5 minutes.
- Lower the heat slightly and add the minced garlic to the skillet. Stir constantly for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour the prepared honey garlic sauce into the skillet with the sausage and garlic. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss everything together gently for 1-2 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped herbs and with a side of crusty bread or salad.
