For the "Eyeballs"
  • 12 ounces Meatballs Use beef, turkey, or veggie meatballs.
  • 1/2 cup Black Olives Sliced, for "pupils".
For Garnishing
  • 1 bunch Fresh Basil Optional garnish.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the drained pasta with marinara sauce and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  4. Transfer the pasta mixture into the greased baking dish and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
  5. Place the meatballs on top of the pasta and press a half of black olive into each meatball.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Let cool for 5-10 minutes, then garnish with fresh basil before serving.
