  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup red and blue M&M's or similar candy

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie pan or a deep dish pie plate.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and M&M's until evenly distributed.
  7. Spread the cookie dough evenly in the prepared pie pan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the pie to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
