Ingredients

For the Dough:
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
For the Filling:
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries or frozen, thawed, and patted dry
For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

Prepare the Dough:
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a round baking dish or cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, and egg. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
Roll Out the Dough:
  1. Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the dough into a rectangle approximately 12x9 inches.
Add the Filling:
  1. Brush the rolled-out dough with melted butter.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the dough.
  3. Scatter the blueberries on top of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Roll and Cut:
  1. Starting from one long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log.
  2. Slice the log into 8–10 even pieces using a sharp knife or dental floss.
Bake:
  1. Arrange the rolls in the prepared baking dish, leaving a little space between each.
  2. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
Make the Frosting:
  1. While the rolls are baking, beat together the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Frost and Serve:
  1. Allow the rolls to cool for about 5 minutes before spreading the frosting on top.
  2. Serve warm and enjoy!
