Method
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray, or line it with parchment paper.
Step 2: Mix the Dry Ingredients
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger.
- Set aside.
Step 3: Combine the Wet Ingredients
- In a separate bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Whisk until smooth and fully incorporated.
Step 4: Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
- Stir gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
Step 5: Pour and Top
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Sprinkle pumpkin seeds on top, if desired, for a crunchy and visually appealing finish.
Step 6: Bake the Bread
- Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 55-65 minutes.
- Check doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center—if it comes out clean, the bread is ready.
Step 7: Cool and Serve
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
- Transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
