Dough Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, activate the yeast by combining it with warmed milk and sugar; let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add in the flour, melted butter, eggs, and salt. Mix until a shaggy dough forms, and knead on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for approximately 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Filling Preparation
- Mix softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and mango puree in a bowl until smooth and creamy.
Rolling and Assembling
- After the first rise, punch down the dough and roll it into a rectangular shape, about ½ inch thick.
- Spread the creamy filling mixture over the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border, and sprinkle diced mango on top.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log shape and slice into equal portions, placing them in a greased baking dish.
Final Rising and Baking
- Cover with a towel and let the rolls rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly, then prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar and milk until smooth, and drizzle over the warm rolls.
