Step-by-Step Instructions for Banana Tiramisu
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until soft peaks form, about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Add 1 cup of mascarpone cheese, 1/2 cup of powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the whipped cream. Beat until smooth, around 2-3 minutes.
  3. Arrange one layer of ladyfingers in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Ensure they touch each other closely.
  4. Brush half of the orange juice (about 1/4 cup) over ladyfingers. Allow to soak for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over ladyfingers, then layer with sliced ripe bananas.
  6. Repeat the process with remaining ladyfingers, orange juice, mascarpone mixture, and top with another layer of sliced bananas.
  7. Spread a layer of Cool Whip over the top of the dessert evenly.
  8. Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.
  9. When ready to serve, slice fresh bananas and arrange them on top as a garnish.
