Step 1: Prepare the Rolls
- Slice each Hawaiian roll in half and set aside on a plate.
Step 2: Make the Batter
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, half & half, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
Step 3: Preheat the Skillet
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tbsp of butter, ensuring it coats the pan evenly.
Step 4: Dip and Cook
- Dip each roll half into the batter, ensuring both sides are coated. Let any excess batter drip off.
- Place the coated rolls in the skillet in a single layer (work in batches if needed).
- Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown. Add more butter as necessary for subsequent batches.
Step 5: Serve
- Transfer the cooked French toast rolls to a serving platter.
- Top with your favorite toppings like syrup, powdered sugar, and fresh berries.
