  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). In a large mixing bowl, sift together the cake flour, powdered sugar, and salt four times to aerate.
  2. Beat the egg whites with cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Gradually add superfine sugar until stiff peaks form.
  3. Fold in vanilla bean paste or extract, almond extract, and pink food coloring to the whipped egg whites.
  4. Sift dry ingredients over the whipped meringue in four additions, folding gently after each.
  5. Transfer batter into an ungreased tube pan and bake for about 35 minutes.
  6. Invert the pan onto a cooling rack to cool for about an hour.
  7. For the frosting, whisk egg whites, sugar, light corn syrup, and salt. Heat until reaching 130°F (54°C) and whip until glossy.
  8. Frost the cooled cake generously with marshmallow frosting and decorate with sprinkles.
