Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup of sugar, and 2 teaspoons of instant yeast.
- In a separate bowl, warm 3/4 cup of milk to about 110°F (43°C) and melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
- Whisk in one egg and then pour this mixture into the dry ingredients. Mix until a sticky dough forms.
- Transfer the sticky dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour.
- Turn the risen dough onto a floured surface, roll it out to 1/2 inch thick, and cut out donut shapes.
- Let the donuts rest on a parchment-lined baking sheet for another 30 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry the donuts in batches for about 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Remove the donuts and allow them to cool slightly.
- Fill each donut with Nutella using a piping bag until it starts to ooze out.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with coffee or milk.
