Step-by-Step Instructions for Vegan Lumpia
  1. Prepare the Wrappers: Cut your lumpia or spring roll wrappers diagonally into triangles and keep covered with a damp towel.
  2. Mix the Filling: In a bowl, combine vegan ground meat, diced onion, soy sauce, salt, and pepper until well blended.
  3. Assemble the Lumpia: Place a tablespoon of filling at the base of each triangle, leaving edges bare for sealing.
  4. Roll and Seal: Dampen edges, fold sides in, and roll tightly from the base upwards.
  5. Freeze for Texture: Place assembled rolls on a baking sheet and freeze for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Heat the Oil: In a frying pan, heat enough oil to cover the bottom; about 350°F (175°C).
