Ingredients

  • 2 large russet potatoes peeled and grated
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Cooking spray

Method

  1. After grating the potatoes, place them in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much moisture as possible. This step is crucial for achieving crispiness.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the grated potatoes, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and olive oil. Mix well until the potatoes are evenly coated.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  5. Spread the potato mixture evenly in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd it. You may need to cook in batches.
  6. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the hash browns are golden brown and crispy.
  7. Once cooked, remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
