Ingredients

  • 18.12 oz about 45 Oreo cookies, Family Size
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 10 oz white melting wafers divided
  • Mini chocolate chips for eyes and buttons
  • Orange sprinkles for noses
  • Pretzel sticks for arms
Optional Decorations:
  • Edible markers for faces or patterns
  • Colored sprinkles for scarves hats, or buttons
  • Candy canes for decoration or sleds

Method

Prepare the Cream Cheese Truffles:
  1. Line a baking tray with parchment paper or wax paper.
  2. Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor or ziplock bag using a rolling pin until fine crumbs form.
  3. In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the crushed Oreo crumbs, mixing until fully combined.
  4. Roll the mixture into small, smooth balls using a cookie scoop. Place them on the prepared tray and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Shape the Snowman Bodies:
  1. Melt ¼ cup of white melting wafers using a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
  2. Dip the bottom of one Oreo ball into the melted chocolate and press it onto another ball to form the body. Repeat for all snowmen.
Decorate the Snowmen:
  1. Attach mini chocolate chips for eyes and buttons, using a dot of melted chocolate as glue.
  2. Add orange sprinkles or a candy piece for the nose.
  3. Insert pretzel sticks into the middle truffle for arms.
  4. Decorate with colored sprinkles for scarves, hats, or earmuffs.
  5. Drizzle more melted white chocolate over the snowmen for a snowy effect, or sprinkle edible glitter for extra sparkle.

Notes

  • Tips for Perfect Truffles:
    • If the chocolate clumps, add a teaspoon of coconut oil to thin it out.
    • Ensure truffles are cold before decorating to help the decorations set properly.
    • To make the truffles firmer, chill them longer before rolling.
  • Decorating Ideas: Experiment with creating a snowman family or even other holiday characters like Santa or reindeer.
