Step-by-Step Instructions for Green Chile Chicken Enchilada Casserole
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather all your ingredients and equipment.
- Combine the shredded chicken, half of the enchilada sauce, cream cheese, green chiles, and taco seasoning in a large bowl.
- Pour ½ cup of the remaining enchilada sauce into the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish.
- Place four tortillas in the bottom of the sauced baking dish, cutting them as necessary.
- Spread half of the chicken mixture over the tortillas, sprinkle with 1 cup of shredded cheese, and drizzle with enchilada sauce.
- Layer with another four tortillas, the remaining chicken mixture, another cup of cheese, and more enchilada sauce.
- Finish with the last four tortillas on top, drizzle with enchilada sauce, and sprinkle the final cup of shredded cheese.
