Method
 

  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into four 1-inch thick patties without overworking the meat.
  3. Grill patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). If using cheese, add it in the last minute and cover to melt.
  4. Toast brioche buns on the grill until golden brown.
  5. Assemble burgers by layering bottom bun, lettuce, cooked patty, desired toppings, and a generous spoonful of secret sauce. Top with the other bun and serve immediately.

Notes

Use freshly ground beef for best flavor and texture.
Try different cheeses or mix-ins like crispy bacon or caramelized onions.
The secret sauce can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to a week.
