  • 1 cup imitation crab meat shredded or chopped
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup celery finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill chopped (optional)
  • Lettuce leaves for serving

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded crab meat, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard. Mix well until the crab is evenly coated.
  2. Add the finely chopped celery, red bell pepper, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until all ingredients are well combined.
  3. If using, fold in the fresh dill for added flavor.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Serve the crab salad on a bed of lettuce leaves or in a sandwich.
