Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, crack open 4 large eggs and whisk until well combined and frothy.
  3. Incorporate ½ cup of granulated sugar-free sweetener into the egg mixture and whisk together thoroughly.
  4. Pour in 3 cups of whole milk into the mixture and whisk gently until smooth.
  5. Add 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract and ⅛ teaspoon of salt, whisking gently to combine.
  6. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into another bowl.
  7. Evenly distribute the strained custard among six ramekins, filling them three-quarters full.
  8. Fill a baking dish with hot water, reaching halfway up the sides of the ramekins.
  9. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, until the edges are set and centers jiggle slightly.
  10. Remove from the water bath and let the ramekins cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  11. Cover each ramekin with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  12. Serve directly in ramekins and enjoy your sugar free baked custard.
