Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Rinse the rice in a fine mesh sieve under cold running water until the water runs clear.

  3. Add rinsed rice, chicken broth, whole milk, paprika, salt, and pepper to the saucepan. Stir to combine and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Cover and reduce heat to low. Let rice simmer for 18-20 minutes until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in freshly grated cheddar cheese until melted. Fluff rice gently with a fork.
