Ingredients
  

For the Pasta
  • 10 oz penne pasta
  • 8 slices bacon chopped
  • 1 ½ lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ½ yellow onion minced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
For the Sauce
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 packet dry ranch dressing mix
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
For Garnish
  • 2 green onions chopped

Method
 

  1. Cook the Pasta
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  3. Cook penne pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  4. Cook the Bacon & Chicken
  5. In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  6. Season chicken with salt and pepper and cook in the same skillet for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Remove the chicken, let it rest, then slice into strips.
  8. Make the Creamy Ranch Cheese Sauce
  9. In the same skillet, sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
  10. Add chicken broth, sour cream, cream cheese, and ranch seasoning. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  11. Combine Everything
  12. Add cooked pasta, sliced chicken, and crispy bacon to the sauce.
  13. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese and mix until melted.
  14. Serve & Garnish
  15. Top with chopped green onions and dried parsley.
  16. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Swap penne for gluten-free pasta if needed.
