  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic can be used.
  • 2 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning Cajun or Creole seasoning will spice things up.

  • 1 package Refrigerated Cheddar Bay Biscuits You can make homemade biscuit dough if you're feeling adventurous.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese Try using Monterey Jack for variation.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and celery, sauté for about 5 minutes until they become translucent.
  3. Stir in 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour with the sautéed vegetables, cooking for 1-2 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  4. Gradually whisk in 2 cups of seafood broth and 1 cup of heavy cream, cooking for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
  5. Season with 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 2 teaspoons of Old Bay seasoning, salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Gently fold in 1 cup of cooked shrimp, 1 cup of crab meat, and 1 cup of frozen peas and carrots.
  7. Spoon the seafood mixture into a 9-inch pie dish.
  8. Mix 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese into the biscuit dough per package instructions.
  9. Dollop the biscuit topping over the seafood filling.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, until the biscuits are golden brown.
  11. Allow the pot pie to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
