Ingredients

For the Steak and Shrimp
  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks 1-inch thick
  • 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined
For the Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Method

Prepare the Steaks:
  1. Generously season the steaks with salt, pepper, and 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over high heat. Sear the steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium doneness. Adjust cooking time as desired.
  3. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest.
Cook the Shrimp:
  1. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter over medium heat.
  2. Sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  3. Add the shrimp and sprinkle with the remaining Cajun seasoning. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Cajun Cream Sauce:
  1. Lower the heat to medium and pour in the heavy cream.
  2. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and let the sauce simmer until smooth and slightly thickened, about 3 minutes.
  3. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
Assemble and Serve:
  1. Slice the rested steaks into thin strips and plate them.
  2. Pour the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce generously over the steaks.
  3. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
