Description
This adorable Easter Bunny Spinach Dip is the ultimate holiday appetizer! A creamy, cheesy spinach and artichoke dip baked into a fun bunny-shaped crescent roll arrangement makes for a delicious and festive centerpiece. Perfect for Easter gatherings with family and friends!
Ingredients
- 2 packages refrigerated crescent dough sheets
- 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed (or 2 cups fresh baby spinach leaves)
- ½ cup artichoke hearts, drained and roughly chopped
- 2 tablespoons jarred jalapenos, diced
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon coarsely cracked black pepper
- ¼ cup mayonnaise (reduced-fat olive oil mayo recommended)
- ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt (or sour cream)
- ¼ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the cream cheese, spinach, artichokes, and jalapenos. Mix until everything is combined and melted together.
- Add salt, pepper, mayo, Greek yogurt, parmesan cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese. Stir until smooth, then remove from heat.
- Open the crescent dough packages but do not unroll. Roll each into an 18-inch-long rope and cut each into 12 pieces (24 pieces total).
- Arrange the dough pieces into a bunny shape: one piece for the head, six surrounding pieces, four for the ears, and the remaining pieces forming the body.
- Spoon the spinach artichoke dip into the center of the bunny’s body and a bit into the ears. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake for 15-16 minutes until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the oven, give the dip a stir if desired, and serve immediately while warm.
Notes
- Customize the dip with extra jalapenos for more heat or substitute with mild green chilies for less spice.
- Serve with extra crackers, fresh veggies, or toasted bread for dipping.
- Perfect for Easter celebrations but can be shaped into other fun designs for different occasions.
