Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 4 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

For the Spinach Alfredo Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk

  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups chopped spinach

For Assembly:

  • 1415 lasagna sheets (cooked or oven-ready)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese (optional)
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Prepare the Lasagna Sheets:
    • If using lasagna sheets that need boiling, cook them according to package instructions until pliable. Drain and lay flat on a tray to prevent sticking.
  • Season the Chicken:
    • In a bowl, mix shredded chicken with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  • Make the Spinach Alfredo Sauce:
    • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk until a smooth paste forms.
    • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
    • Add heavy cream, mozzarella cheese, Italian seasoning, spinach, salt, and pepper. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy. Adjust the consistency with extra milk if needed.
  • Assemble the Lasagna:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
    • Spread a thin layer of spinach Alfredo sauce on the bottom of the dish. Add a layer of lasagna sheets.
    • Spread a layer of seasoned chicken over the lasagna sheets, followed by a layer of sauce. Add a thin layer of ricotta cheese if desired.
    • Repeat the layering process, finishing with a generous layer of sauce on top. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
  • Bake the Lasagna:
    • Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbling.
