Indulge in this Golden Croissant Delight Bake, a perfect blend of buttery croissants, savory deli meats, and melted cheeses, all baked together in a rich egg custard. Topped with a luscious sweet herb butter glaze, this dish is perfect for brunch, holiday mornings, or any cozy breakfast occasion. Every bite delivers a crispy, golden top with a creamy, cheesy, and flavorful interior!

Ingredients

  • Croissants (6-8, preferably day-old, cut into halves or thirds)
  • Deli Meat (10-12 slices of ham, prosciutto, turkey breast, or salami)
  • Eggs (3-4 large)
  • Heavy Cream or Milk (1/2 cup)
  • Salt (1 tsp)
  • Garlic Salt (1 tsp)
  • Black Pepper (1 tsp)
  • Fresh Rosemary (1 tbsp, chopped)
  • Swiss Cheese (8-10 slices)
  • Mozzarella (1/4 cup, shredded)

Sweet Herb Butter Glaze

  • Butter (1/2 cup, melted)
  • Honey (1/2 cup)
  • Fresh Herbs (1/2 tbsp of rosemary and thyme, finely chopped)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Croissants – Cut croissants into thirds.
  2. Make the Egg Mixture – In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, garlic salt, black pepper, and fresh rosemary.
  3. Soak & Assemble – Dip croissant pieces into the egg mixture, shaking off excess liquid. Layer them in a baking dish.
  4. Add Fillings – Tuck slices of deli meat and cheese into the spaces between the croissants.
  5. Prepare the Glaze – In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, honey, and herbs.
  6. Bake to Perfection – Bake at 350°F (175°C) until the cheese melts and the tops turn golden brown. Baste with honey butter before serving.

Notes

  • Best Served: Fresh out of the oven for maximum crispiness and flavor.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
  • Variations: Try different cheeses like cheddar or brie for a twist. Add caramelized onions or sundried tomatoes for extra depth.
  • Make it Sweeter: Swap deli meat for thinly sliced apples and sprinkle some cinnamon for a sweet version!
