Description
Zesty Bliss Lemon Possets is a creamy, citrusy delight made with just a few simple ingredients. This easy-to-make English dessert delivers a rich, velvety texture with a bright lemony tang—perfect for a refreshing and indulgent treat!
Ingredients
- 3 cups (750 ml) heavy cream (35% fat)
- Zest of 2 lemons (or mix with lime zest for extra zing)
- 3/4 cup (150 grams) white sugar
- Pinch of salt (optional, but enhances flavor)
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) fresh lemon juice (increase to 1/3 cup for more tang)
- 2 teaspoons (10 ml) vanilla extract
- Fresh fruit (raspberries, blueberries, peaches) and mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the Cream: In a deep pot, combine heavy cream, sugar, salt, and lemon zest. Heat over medium-high heat until it starts to boil. Reduce heat and stir constantly for 1-2 minutes, ensuring it doesn’t boil over.
- Mix & Strain: Remove from heat, then stir in the lemon juice and vanilla extract. Strain the mixture to remove the zest and any lumps.
- Set & Chill: Pour the mixture into serving glasses or bowls. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours until firm.
- Garnish & Serve: Top with fresh fruit and mint leaves before serving for an elegant finish.
Notes
- For an extra citrusy kick, increase the lemon juice slightly.
