Description

A delicious and nutritious breakfast option made with rolled oats, Greek yogurt, and fresh strawberries, perfect for a quick morning meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, milk, Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until well combined.
  2. Gently fold in the sliced strawberries, reserving a few for topping.
  3. Divide the mixture evenly into four jars or containers with lids.
  4. Seal the containers and refrigerate overnight (or for at least 4 hours) to allow the oats to soften and absorb the liquid.
  5. In the morning, give the oats a good stir and top with the reserved strawberries before serving. Enjoy cold or warm them up in the microwave if desired.

Notes

  • For added texture and flavor, mix in a tablespoon of chia seeds or flaxseeds before refrigerating.
  • Substitute strawberries with other fruits like blueberries, bananas, or peaches for a different taste.
