Description

Delicious cookies inspired by the famous Shiroi Koibito, featuring a blend of white and milk chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  5. Fold in the white chocolate and milk chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a nutty flavor, add 1/2 cup of chopped nuts, such as almonds or hazelnuts, to the dough.
  • To enhance the flavor, consider adding a pinch of almond extract along with the vanilla.
