Description
A delicious and easy-to-make treat combining the sweet and salty flavors of caramel, chocolate, and pretzels.
Ingredients
- 2 cups pretzel sticks
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spread the pretzel sticks evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the caramel sauce and stir until smooth and combined.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the pretzel sticks, making sure to coat them evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, allowing the pretzels to warm and the caramel to set slightly.
- Remove the baking sheet from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips over the warm caramel pretzels. Let sit for 5 minutes to allow the chocolate to melt.
- Once the chocolate is melted, use a spatula to spread it evenly over the pretzels and caramel.
- Sprinkle the sea salt over the top while the chocolate is still warm.
- Allow the bark to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, then transfer to the refrigerator for an additional 30 minutes to set completely.
- Once set, break the bark into pieces and serve.
Notes
- For a nutty twist, add chopped pecans or walnuts on top of the chocolate before it sets.
- Substitute the semi-sweet chocolate chips with milk chocolate or dark chocolate for a different flavor profile.
