Description

Deliciously roasted Brussels sprouts topped with melted Parmesan cheese, perfect as a side dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated.
  3. Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy on the edges.
  5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the Brussels sprouts. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar if desired before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes before roasting for a spicy kick.
  • Try substituting the Parmesan cheese with crumbled feta or goat cheese for a different taste profile.
