For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a round baking dish or cake pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, and egg. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Roll Out the Dough:
- Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the dough into a rectangle approximately 12×9 inches.
- Add the Filling:
- Brush the rolled-out dough with melted butter.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the dough.
- Scatter the blueberries on top of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Roll and Cut:
- Starting from one long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log.
- Slice the log into 8–10 even pieces using a sharp knife or dental floss.
- Bake:
- Arrange the rolls in the prepared baking dish, leaving a little space between each.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
- Make the Frosting:
- While the rolls are baking, beat together the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Frost and Serve:
- Allow the rolls to cool for about 5 minutes before spreading the frosting on top.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
