Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg

For the Filling:

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries (or frozen, thawed, and patted dry)

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Prepare the Dough:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a round baking dish or cake pan.
    • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
    • In a separate bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, and egg. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  • Roll Out the Dough:
    • Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the dough into a rectangle approximately 12×9 inches.
  • Add the Filling:
    • Brush the rolled-out dough with melted butter.
    • In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the dough.
    • Scatter the blueberries on top of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Roll and Cut:
    • Starting from one long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log.
    • Slice the log into 8–10 even pieces using a sharp knife or dental floss.
  • Bake:
    • Arrange the rolls in the prepared baking dish, leaving a little space between each.
    • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Make the Frosting:
    • While the rolls are baking, beat together the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • Frost and Serve:
    • Allow the rolls to cool for about 5 minutes before spreading the frosting on top.
    • Serve warm and enjoy!
