Description

These sweet and salty bites are the perfect festive treat to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! With gooey caramel, crunchy pretzels, and a chocolate coating, they’re easy to make and even easier to enjoy.

Ingredients

  • Rolo candies (50, about one 12-ounce bag)
  • Miniature pretzels (100, square, round, or traditional shape)
  • Melting chocolate or wafers (10 ounces)
  • St. Patrick’s-themed sprinkles (1/4 cup)

Instructions

  1. Unwrap & Prepare
    • Unwrap all the Rolo candies and set them aside.
    • Preheat your oven to 250°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Layer It Up
    • Arrange half of the pretzels in a single layer on the baking sheet.
    • Place one Rolo on top of each pretzel.
  3. Melt & Sandwich
    • Bake for about 3 minutes, just until the Rolos appear shiny and slightly softened.
    • Remove from the oven and press another pretzel gently on top of each softened Rolo to form a small sandwich.
    • Let cool for at least 30 minutes (or speed up the process in the fridge).
  4. Dip & Decorate
    • Melt the chocolate wafers using a double boiler or microwave at 50% power in 45-second bursts, stirring until smooth.
    • Lightly dip one side of each pretzel sandwich into the melted chocolate, then place them back on the baking sheet.
    • Sprinkle with festive toppings.
  5. Set & Enjoy
    • Let the candies sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes, or until the chocolate sets.

Notes

  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or refrigerate for up to 4 weeks.
  • Swaps & Twists: Try Hershey’s Kisses, M&Ms, or different chocolate varieties for a personalized touch.
  • Quick Tip: If you prefer a softer caramel, reduce baking time by 30 seconds.
