Description

Hot Honey Feta Chicken is a sweet and spicy dish featuring tender chicken thighs topped with crumbled feta cheese and drizzled with hot honey.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup hot honey (or regular honey mixed with red pepper flakes to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, season the chicken thighs with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Toss to coat evenly.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken thighs and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese evenly over the chicken.
  5. Drizzle the hot honey and lemon juice over the feta and chicken.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  7. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

  • For a spicy kick, add sliced jalapeños or red pepper flakes to the chicken before baking.
