Description
Hot Honey Feta Chicken is a sweet and spicy dish featuring tender chicken thighs topped with crumbled feta cheese and drizzled with hot honey.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/2 cup hot honey (or regular honey mixed with red pepper flakes to taste)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, season the chicken thighs with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Toss to coat evenly.
- Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken thighs and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese evenly over the chicken.
- Drizzle the hot honey and lemon juice over the feta and chicken.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add sliced jalapeños or red pepper flakes to the chicken before baking.
- Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
