Description
A quick and tasty Honey Garlic Chicken Stir-Fry recipe that combines tender chicken with fresh vegetables in a sweet and savory sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
- 1 cup snap peas
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice or noodles for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the broccoli, bell pepper, and snap peas. Stir-fry the vegetables for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
- While the vegetables are cooking, in a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, cornstarch, water, and sesame oil until smooth.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken and vegetables. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
- Serve the honey garlic chicken stir-fry over cooked rice or noodles.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of red pepper flakes or some sliced jalapeños to the stir-fry.
- Substitute the chicken with tofu or shrimp for a different protein option.
