Description

Ham and Cheese Spinach Puffs are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer filled with savory ham, creamy cheese, and nutritious spinach, all wrapped in flaky puff pastry.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked spinach, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 package (1 sheet) puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked spinach, diced ham, shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares, approximately 4×4 inches.
  4. Place a tablespoon of the filling in the center of each puff pastry square.
  5. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create a pocket and pinch the edges to seal. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  6. Place the filled puffs on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian option, substitute the ham with cooked mushrooms or diced bell peppers.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the filling for a spicy kick.
