Description
French Dip Pinwheels are a delicious twist on the traditional French dip sandwich, featuring a creamy filling of roast beef and cheese rolled in tortillas.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup cooked roast beef, shredded
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1/4 cup beef broth (for dipping)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded roast beef, mozzarella cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Lay a flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a generous layer of the beef and cheese mixture evenly over the tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Roll the tortilla tightly from one end to the other, ensuring the filling stays inside. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.
- Once all tortillas are rolled, wrap them in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
- After chilling, remove the plastic wrap and slice each roll into 1-inch pinwheels.
- Serve the pinwheels with a small bowl of warm beef broth for dipping.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of horseradish to the cream cheese mixture.
- You can also substitute the roast beef with turkey or ham for a different flavor profile.
