These festive, chewy, and chocolate-filled Easter cookies bring together the classic flavors of homemade chocolate chip cookies with a fun holiday touch. Soft and buttery with mini chocolate chips and colorful Easter M&M’s, they’re the perfect treat to share with family and friends this Easter season!
Ingredients
Butter (melted), granulated sugar, brown sugar (lightly packed), eggs, vanilla extract, all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, mini chocolate chips, and Easter M&M’s candies.
Instructions
- Prepare the Cookie Dough – Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt butter until just softened, ensuring it is not too hot. Mix melted butter with both sugars until creamy and smooth. Add eggs and vanilla extract, stirring just until combined.
- Combine Dry Ingredients – In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until fully incorporated.
- Add the Chocolate Magic – Stir in mini chocolate chips, ensuring even distribution.
- Shape and Bake – Scoop the dough into medium-sized balls and roll until smooth. Place cookies on a lined baking sheet and bake for 9-11 minutes, removing them when they are just starting to turn golden.
- Decorate with Easter Cheer – While cookies are still warm, press whole M&M’s on top for decoration. Cut M&M’s in half and place them as bunny ears, pressing gently into the cookies.
- Cool and Enjoy – Let cookies cool completely on the baking sheet before serving.
Notes
- For extra chewiness, refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
- Swap white chocolate chips for mini chocolate chips for a sweeter twist.
- Store cookies in an airtight container to keep them soft and fresh.
Enjoy these chocolatey and colorful Easter cookies as a delightful holiday treat!
