Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- 4 cups bean sprouts
- 1 medium carrot, julienned
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the julienned carrot and sliced bell pepper to the skillet. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.
- Add the bean sprouts and chopped green onions to the skillet. Continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until the bean sprouts are tender but still crispy.
- Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and sesame oil. Toss everything together to coat evenly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
- For added protein, consider adding cooked chicken, shrimp, or tofu to the stir-fry.
