Description
Crispy Air Fryer Hash Browns are a delicious and healthy breakfast option that are easy to make and perfect for any morning.
Ingredients
- 2 large russet potatoes, peeled and grated
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- After grating the potatoes, place them in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much moisture as possible. This step is crucial for achieving crispiness.
- In a large bowl, combine the grated potatoes, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and olive oil. Mix well until the potatoes are evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Spread the potato mixture evenly in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd it. You may need to cook in batches.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the hash browns are golden brown and crispy.
- Once cooked, remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add shredded cheese or chopped herbs like chives or parsley before air frying.
- Try using sweet potatoes instead of russet potatoes for a different taste and added nutrients.
