Ingredients

  • 8 slices of whole grain bread
  • 8 ounces of sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1/4 cup balsamic glaze
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. On the unbuttered side of 4 slices, layer the shredded cheddar cheese evenly.
  4. Scatter fresh blackberries over the cheese, then drizzle balsamic glaze on top.

  6. Top with the remaining 4 slices of bread, buttered side facing out.
